Having issues with retention? Here are the causes and solutions!
Why aren't the eyelash extensions you have or place staying in place properly? This could be due to your preparation, aftercare, the products used, and even the technique of how the lashes are applied.
It always starts with good preparation. The lashes are washed with lash shampoo, and then primer is applied. Make sure you have the right adhesive adjusted to your pace, humidity, and temperature. Switch your adhesive drop every 15 minutes while placing lashes, and your adhesive should also be replaced with a new bottle every month. Finish with a nano mister so that the client does not experience irritation and so that the adhesive can partly cure. Another option is to apply a little bonder to the lash line at the end.
After the treatment, no water should touch the lashes for 24 hours, and no steam for 48 hours. Do not apply mascara, creams, oil-based products, or eyeliner if you have eyelash extensions. Regularly clean the lashes with lash shampoo at home to remove dust, dirt, and natural oils so that they stay beautiful longer! The eyelash extensions should also not be curled or colored.
Some other factors that also affect the retention of eyelash extensions are any medication or conditions that affect hormones. Think of: antidepressants, pregnancy, thyroid problems, contraception, etc.
